Privacy Policy
Sales Util is a set of everyday sales tools that runs in your browser. This policy explains what data it handles, where that data goes, and the choices you have. In short: most tools work entirely on your device, we never sell your data, and there are no ads or tracking.
Data that stays on your device
- What you paste or type into the tools (lead lists, phone numbers, notes, quotes, templates and so on) is processed in your browser and stored in the extension’s local storage. It is not sent to us unless you sign in and turn on sync (below).
- Web page content. When you open Site Contacts, Pre-call Brief or another tool that reads the current page, Sales Util reads that tab only at that moment (using Chrome’s activeTab permission) and processes it on your device. It does not read pages in the background or track your browsing.
- Your AI provider keys are encrypted on your device with a key that never leaves the browser. They are never stored on our servers and never synced.
- License and trial status are stored locally.
Data we receive
- Account (optional). If you sign in, we store your email address, a hashed session token, and the date you signed up and last signed in. Sign-in codes are stored only as a hash and expire after 10 minutes.
- Sync (when signed in). Your profile, message templates, saved contacts, call notes, quote and invoice details, and tool settings are stored with your account so they appear in every browser where you sign in. AI keys are never included.
- AI features (only when you use them). When you use an AI tool (Contact Capture, Reply Writer, Pre-call Brief), the text you provide, and for Pre-call Brief the text of the current page, is sent with your own API key through our server and Cloudflare AI Gateway to the AI company you chose (Anthropic, OpenAI, Google or DeepSeek). We do not store or log the content of these requests or your key. That company’s own privacy policy applies to what it receives.
- Purchases. Payments are handled by Stripe; we never see your card details. Stripe tells us your email address, the amount and the purchase IDs, which we use to create and email your license key and to turn it off if a purchase is refunded.
- Email domain checks. Email Pattern Finder’s “Check domain” sends only the domain name (for example, acme.com) to Google Public DNS to see whether it receives email.
How we use it
Only to provide Sales Util: signing you in, syncing your data, sending sign-in codes and license emails, running the AI features you request, and managing licenses. We do not sell or rent your data, use it for advertising, or use it to determine creditworthiness or for lending. We don’t use analytics or tracking scripts in the extension.
Service providers
- Cloudflare hosts our server and database, sends our emails, and relays AI requests (AI Gateway, with logging turned off).
- Stripe processes payments.
- The AI provider you choose receives AI requests you make, under your own account with them.
- Google Public DNS answers email domain checks.
Keeping and deleting your data
- Local data stays until you clear it or remove the extension.
- Account and synced data stay until you delete your account. Settings › Account › Delete account deletes your account, sessions and all synced data from our servers right away.
- We keep license and purchase records (email, license key, Stripe IDs) for as long as needed to honor your license, handle refunds and meet legal and tax obligations.
Security
All traffic uses HTTPS. Session tokens and sign-in codes are stored only as hashes, AI keys are encrypted on your device, and sign-in and license endpoints are rate limited.
Children
Sales Util is a business tool and is not directed to children under 13.
Changes
If this policy changes, we’ll update the date above. Significant changes will be noted in the extension or by email to account holders.
